1. Building Your DJ Brand
How to stand out from hundreds of others and be remembered.
Your brand isn’t just a name or a logo. It’s everything people think, hear, see, and feel about you. It’s your reputation, your style, the atmosphere you create — both on stage and off.
Your DJ brand includes:
- Name: short, memorable, easy to spell, not a copy of someone else. Ideally with a matching domain and free Instagram handle.
- Visuals: the images you project — profile photos, flyers, gig videos.
- Musical style: clear positioning. Not “everything,” but “melodic deep with vocals” or “dark progressive.”
- Mission & vibe: How do you want to be perceived? Fun and wild? Sophisticated and deep? Mysterious and futuristic?
- Online presence: SoundCloud/Mixcloud, Instagram, Telegram bot, personal website, fan chat.
- Speech & behavior: how you talk to people — respectful, stylish, charismatic.
